Kelly’s vision for the next year is to:

  • Raise awareness of the NDF amongst medical and therapist professionals in the UK
  • Provide support for anyone who wishes to take part in sporting fundraisers for the Norrie Disease Foundation
  • Promote new research into Norrie disease
  • Ensure accurate information on Norrie disease is accessible to everyone

Biography

Kelly is the Norrie Disease Foundation’s Treasurer and Sporting Fundraising Events Lead.

Kelly joined the NDF as Treasurer because she wanted to support her friend and NDF Trustee Theresa Peacock.

Kelly works at the British Academy of Childhood Disability and brings to the NDF a wealth of contacts.  She uses her professional links to raise awareness of the NDF with paediatricians and therapists across the UK.

Kelly is a keen runner and with her sporty fundraising hat on she supports the NDF sporting sponsored events.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Taking the lead at board level on making sure the charity keeps proper accounts;
  • Reviewing the charity’s financial performance;
  • Overseeing the Norrie Disease Foundation’s finance policies;
  • Financial controls and reporting on financial matters such as budgeting, monthly updates and account information.
