Come walk with lovely friendly people - make new friends or reconnect with old ones whilst raising vital funds to treat the progressive Norrie hearing loss that affects our blind community.
As part of the Norrie fundraising weekender the Thames Path 25km walk takes place on Saturday 5th September starting at 10am in Blackheath, near Greenwich taking in all key landmarks along the North and South side of the Thames looping you back to the Blackheath starting point. Or you can set up your own walk anywhere in the country.
All the walkers are connected by being a relative or a friend of someone affected by Norrie disease and seeing in real time the challenges presented to them as they experience the progressive hearing loss in addition to the blindness.
The hearing loss is the biggest and most devastating struggle that people living with the condition face.
Funds raised from the weekend will drive life-changing hearing loss research towards clinical trials. We are closer than ever to our goal and this is part of the final push.
All abilities welcome and walks will be at the pace of the walkers with plenty of stops!
